Blue Line overview

The TRAX Blue Line runs 25 stations from Salt Lake Central, the FrontRunner and bus hub, through downtown Salt Lake City and south through Murray, Midvale and Sandy to Draper Town Center. Downtown and through Murray it shares stations with the Red and Green lines; south of Fashion Place West it runs on its own.

Service frequency varies by time of day — expect trains every 15 minutes during peak commute hours and less frequently during evenings and weekends. Check the live tracker for current headways.

Key stops

The Blue Line serves a wide range of destinations along its corridor. Notable stops include:

  • Salt Lake Central — northern terminus; major interchange with FrontRunner and bus hub
  • Downtown SLC stops — Arena, Temple Square, City Center, Gallivan Plaza and Courthouse
  • Central Pointe — transfer to the S-Line streetcar
  • Murray Central — FrontRunner and bus connections, park-and-ride
  • Sandy Civic Center / Sandy Expo — southern Sandy destinations
  • Draper Town Center — southern terminus, park-and-ride

Live tracking tips

On the TRAX live tracker, filter to the Blue Line to isolate Blue Line trains on the map. Downtown and through Murray, Red and Green Line trains stop at the same platforms, so check the line and the destination (Draper Town Center or Salt Lake Central) before boarding. During large events at the Delta Center or Salt Lake City venues, extra trains may be added and delays at downtown stations are common — use the tracker to see real-time spacing between trains.
